The best social media MCP servers
An MCP server is what lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor actually post, rather than write you something to paste. Four of the tools we track have one; the other eight have nothing, which is most of the answer. This is what each of the four gives an agent, and what it costs to find out.

Post Bridge
The most complete one, and the only one listed in Claude's connector directory — you add it from a list and sign in, with nothing to paste. More tools than anyone else here, including per-platform publish results carrying each network's own error, and an upload link for files sitting on your laptop. MCP is bundled on every paid plan; the REST API is charged separately. The catch is that there is no free plan at all, so $29 a month is the price of finding out whether you want it.

Eurekuh — that's us
Seven tools over ten networks, and the only one here that works on a free plan — MCP is free on every tier including the free one, because connecting an assistant is how you find out whether the product is worth paying for. Paid is €9.99 a month against everyone else's $29. It is also the newest and it shows: there is no OAuth yet, so you create an API key and add it as a request header yourself, and it is not in the Claude directory until that changes. The REST API is the part we charge for.

Postiz
Thirteen tools, open source, and free forever if you self-host — which also means the MCP server runs on your own machine against your own credentials, the only option here where nobody else holds the tokens. It reaches more networks than anything else on this list. The cost is in hours: you are running a Node app, a database and a Redis, and the write path is capped at 90 calls an hour.

Blotato
Advertises an API and an MCP server alongside its AI writing and video tools, from $29 a month for 20 accounts. We have read the marketing rather than the tool list, so take the capability as claimed rather than verified — it is here because it says it has one, and the three above are here because we have seen what theirs do.

What is not on this list, and why
Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social, Metricool, Publer, SocialBee, Planable and Mixpost have no MCP server at all, so there is nothing to rank them on. PostSyncer has one, served at a fixed URL with a bearer token, but it is not a competitor we track closely enough to price or verify, so it is named here rather than ranked above.
Questions
What is an MCP server, in one sentence?+
A standard way for an AI assistant to call someone else's software — so instead of writing you a caption to copy into a scheduler, the assistant schedules it. Anthropic published the protocol and OpenAI, Google and most agent frameworks now speak it too.
Can an agent post without asking me first?+
That depends on the client, and it is worth understanding rather than trusting. The protocol lets a server mark a tool as destructive, which tells the client to prompt a human before running it — every server here marks publishing that way, and Claude shows an approval dialog. But the spec calls it a hint, not a guarantee, and a client is allowed to auto-approve. Treat it as a strong default rather than a lock, and read what a tool description actually says before you approve it.
Is this safe if my agent browses the web?+
It is the one thing to think about. A model that reads a poisoned page can be told to post, and an MCP server with publishing rights will do what the model asks. The mitigations are the approval prompts above, keeping the key revocable, and — on the tools that support it — not letting the agent publish immediately to anything that costs money. None of that makes it impossible, and anyone telling you otherwise has not read the spec.
Do I need a paid plan to connect one?+
Only Eurekuh and self-hosted Postiz can be connected without paying. Post Bridge and Blotato both start at $29 a month with no free tier, so trying their agent access means buying a month of it.
Which one should I actually use?+
If you want it working in the next ten minutes and the price is not the question, Post Bridge — the directory listing genuinely removes every fiddly step. If you want to try the idea before paying for it, Eurekuh's free plan is the only way to do that. If you would rather nobody else held your tokens, self-hosted Postiz.
