The best open-source social media schedulers
Two real options, and they differ on almost everything except the source being available. What they share is the part people underestimate: the licence is the small cost, and running it is the large one.

The stronger of the two. Open source, self-hostable on anything from Hetzner to Railway, 30+ networks including Mastodon, Reddit, Discord and Telegram. A hosted version exists at $29 a month for five channels if you want the software without the server.

Mixpost
A one-time licence rather than a subscription — $299 for Pro, unlimited accounts, no per-seat charge. Over three years that is cheaper than almost anything else on the market. Lite is free but covers only Facebook Pages, X and Mastodon.
What is not on this list, and why
Eurekuh is closed source, so it does not belong in this ranking. If self-hosting is a requirement rather than a preference, neither we nor Buffer, Hootsuite, Later or the rest are options at all.

What does self-hosting a scheduler actually involve?+
A server, a database and a job queue, plus your own developer app registered with every network you post to — each with its own review process, its own token expiry and its own way of breaking. The software is free; the operations are the price.
Which is better, Postiz or Mixpost?+
