Posting to multiple TikTok accounts at once

Running several TikTok accounts means several logins, and TikTok's app allows only a handful of profile switches before it becomes the main cost of posting. Connecting each through the API removes that entirely.

How it works

  1. 1

    Connect each account

Each authorises through TikTok's own screen. They then appear as separate channels you can select individually or together.

  2. 2

Set the audience and interaction settings

TikTok requires who-can-view, and whether duet, stitch and comments are allowed, to be sent with the upload. These are set per post in the composer, not left to a default.

  3. 3

    Upload once, publish to all

One video, several accounts, published natively through the Content Posting API. Captions can differ per account.

What actually goes wrong

  • The same video, same caption, same minute

TikTok is the network most likely to notice. If you run several accounts in one niche, vary the caption and stagger the times.

  • Watermarked re-uploads

A video saved from TikTok's own app carries its watermark, and every other network demotes it. Keep your original export.

  • Captions are 2,200 characters

Long by short-form standards, but TikTok's first two lines are what anyone reads. Put the hook there.

The networks this applies to

  • TikTok
  • Instagram
  • YouTube

Questions

Is posting to several TikTok accounts against their rules?+

Running multiple accounts is allowed. Posting identical content across a network of them to game distribution is the thing TikTok acts on — the rule is about behaviour, not about how many logins you have.

Does scheduling reduce reach on TikTok?+

There is no evidence that a post published through the official API performs differently from one posted in the app. The claim circulates constantly and nobody has ever shown data for it.
