Bulk scheduling: a week of posts in one sitting

Posting daily is not hard. Remembering to post daily is. Bulk scheduling moves the work into one session where you are already in the right frame of mind, and leaves the discipline to software.

How it works

  1. 1

    Set a weekly pattern first

Define the slots you post in — Tuesday 09:00, Thursday 18:00, Sunday 11:00 — once. After that, scheduling is picking the next free slot rather than operating a date picker. This is available on every plan, including the free one.

  2. 2

Work from the media you already have

Everything you have uploaded stays available, so a batch session is choosing from what exists rather than hunting for files.

  3. 3

    Queue into the pattern

Each new post takes the next unused slot. Ten posts become the next three and a bit weeks without you calculating a single date.

  4. 4

    Check the calendar

The month view shows what is going out where. Gaps are obvious, and so is the week you accidentally scheduled four posts into.

What actually goes wrong

  • Batching a month you cannot sustain

Five posts a week, batched once, feels great and then runs out. Three a week that you refill every Monday beats five a week abandoned in February.

  • Time zones

Slots run on your local wall clock, so 09:00 stays 09:00 when the clocks change. If your audience is somewhere else, set the slots to their morning rather than yours.

  • Scheduling into silence

A queue is not a strategy. If nothing scheduled last month got engagement, more of it scheduled faster will not help.

The networks this applies to

  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • LinkedIn
  • Threads

Questions

Is there a limit on how far ahead I can schedule?+

No date limit. Paid plans have no monthly post cap at all; the free tier allows 15 posts a month.

Can I bulk upload from a spreadsheet?+

Not today. Posts are created in the composer one at a time, which is slower than a CSV import but means each one is checked against its networks' rules before it is queued.
