What order do I post the tiles in?+
The order they are numbered here. Instagram puts your newest post top-left, so the tiles come back reversed — post 1 is the bottom-right of your image. Posting them in reading order gives you the picture upside down and back to front, which you only discover after nine posts.
What happens when I post something new afterwards?+
The grid shifts by one and the picture breaks. That is the real cost of a grid: every later post moves it. Plan on it being temporary, or accept that it ends the day you post again.
Does the image need to be square?+
No. Each tile is cropped to square independently, so a 3:4 source cut into a 3×4 grid works. The closer the source is to the grid's own proportions, the less gets trimmed.
Is my image uploaded?+
No. Everything happens in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
